When it's time to change you must be willing to accept that life has more for you.
May 2020 was our first full year of Tranquilo Teas. This month is the relaunching of our site. We have made a lot of changes to make the site easier to use. As well as we've made it easier for everyone to join us at our Tranquilo tea parties. As soon as we have a new normal which allows us to be safe, we will send out invites to our events.
At the beginning of the year we had a different direction on how we were to make our business grow and reach more tea lovers, but 2020 had it's own agenda. Between the pandemic and the Black Lives Matter movement a lot of truths that had not been resolved from slavery have made it impossible for us as humans to move in peace. Tea is usually associated with a state of tranquility, peace and a time of reflection. This means we need to look internally on how we allow others to treat us. Lynching is no longer someone hanging from a tree. Lynching is preventing someone to breathe physically, financially, emotionally, spiritually and even medically. The injustice comes when people make excuses for the mistreatment of someone based on the color of their skin. Oh yes, colorism(when you are not light enough to pass for white) also falls in that same vein with bigotry.
When we decided to change course with Tranquilo Teas, it was about building relationships with you, our family. Reconnecting with those who have made it possible for us to be here in 2020. We are committed in building trust and moving in peace.
